Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is a tradition that has been in Canada and America. It is celebrated in the second thursday of October for Canada and the fourth thursday in November for America. It is used to give thanks for what we have in this world. It is also celebrated with family members and friends. You even get a huge feast of food, and then go running on thursday night and wait for BLACK FRIDAY!

Reflection: To be honest I don’t celebrate thanksgiving, but most of the things I am thankful for is:

• Having a family
• Having a house
• Being able to afford things
• Having a cellphone
• Having friends
• Having an education
• Having pets
• Having God
• Having my religion
• My parents
• Having a positive attitude
• Always trying my best

Move Forward

• Stop walking out
• Stop messing up property due to protest
• Write petitions
• By knowing the most important problems at the moment
• Speaking out of what is important and what we care about
• Having our school provide us better opportunities that will educate us on elections and our government
• Speak up when you don’t agree with someone
• Forget about it
• Change the system

• Get involved in politics
• Be optimistic
• Move to Canada
• Forget and Forgive
• Learn from your mistakes
• Make better choices
• Plan your choices
• Voice your opinion
• Be more confident
• Accept the fact that he (Donald Trump) is President
• Stop giving him attention he wants
• Voice your thoughts in a positive way
• Help /Support each other
• Encourage others to vote

Doing what is right, is fair and honorable

           

         What kind of person are you? Are you a CTR person, an average-normal person, or are you a cheater-CTW person? These aren’t the only people that exist in the world, because everyone is different. But, what is you choose the right, what do you get in return? According to Chick Moorman, “Doing what is right , fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing”. I definitely agree with this statement. Did you know some athletes in football games cheat by using, steroids, and other techniques? Compared to the athletes that actually try their best to achieve their goal. If you were to name each of these groups by, CTR or CTW, where would you place them? Obviously the chesters=CTW and the people who try=CTR.

         Veterans day is coming at Friday, November 11, 2016. Veterans Day is a day to honor the people who go/went to the military. It will always be at November 11, 2016. The purpose of veterans day is to keep helping our nation to be strong by the military. It is important to show honor to veterans day because many people who fought for us is here to represent us. One way to show honor to them is meeting the and telling them thanks. Another way can be doing the flag salute to them. There are many ways you can honor them.

Reflection: I think it is nice knowing about veterans day, but I don’t celebrate it. I don’t want to be rude or anything just that the bible teaches us many things about this. The bible clearly shows that we shouldn’t assassinate or kill. No offense, but the soldiers that has fought in that war kill people, and I know it is for the country, but they are people. Knowing that Jehovah doesn’t like seeing people dying we should think like he does too. He doesn’t want any war at all, he wants us to be happy. So I don’t celebrate this holiday. I will show respect to it but not adore it.

The 3 Magical Keys

Have you heard of the three magical keys? If you have, good for you, if you haven’t this is the reason why I’m typing this. W. Clement Stone mentioned them. The three keys are:

1. Have courage to say no.
2. Have courage to face the truth.
3. Do the right thing because it is right.

What a marvelous statement he gave us to keep choosing the right by doing this. If someone offers you drugs or alcohol ay NO! If you did something that was wrong, face the truth it will work out! ALWAYS, ALWAYS CTR 24/7!!!!!

Be Wise

Have you ever read the Bible, because the bible has good sayings. In Proverbs 13:20 it wanted one us to know how to be a wise man. It says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise. But a companion who fools shall be destroyed”. In this Proverb it showed that we shall be with wise people. If we need advice and help, we should follow what it says, to always find a wise person. Always be a CTR person so you may continue being wise. If you do, people would look up to you, and they won’t underestimate you. If you're going to be foolish, you will be destroyed according to the bible. It is true because some families, or people are torn apart by being foolish. We shall always be wise.

Recreate Good

“The best recreation is to do good”. This quote was made by the one n only, William Penn. What he wanted us to do is to always choose the right. If we don't choose the right we can end up doing the opposite of the recreation. An example of recreation can be your grades. If you get high, advanced GPA’s like 3.5-4.0 you will surely know about recreation. If you get 3.5-0 you will know you aren’t recreating.
