Taken Care Of 

This woman called Rachel Castillo gave us a very nice statement about choosing the right. She mentioned, "If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of". What an interesting statement she brought to us. I'll give you a simple problem. If someone smokes, what will happen with them? According to many smokers, they've gotten lung cancer, brain problems, and other injuries. Now think about a normal smoke free person. They would live a happy healthy life unlike a miserable cancerous one. Do you now see what Rachel was trying to say to us? Always choose the right and "you'll be taken care of". 

The Neurosurgeon 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Neurosurgeon's or Brain Surgeon's are surgeon's that examine, diagnose and surgically treat disorders of the nervous system. Here are most of the things they would do:

• Perform Surgery on Brain and spinal cord 
• They also remove tumors, peripheral nerves, relieve chronic pain and treat wounds 
• They relieve hydrocephalus, the abnormal build-up of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain.

Education: 

• Medical Degree 

Demand for this profession: 

• 6-7 neurosurgical residency follow up by 4 years of medical school 

Reflection: I believe I wouldn't be great as a neurosurgeon because I hate looking at surgeries, they make me nauseous.  

Entire

Have you heard of Victor Hugo? If not, me either, till now! He told us a statement that made us think about the meaning. He said, “Right is right only when entire.” What does this statement mean? When the quote mentions entire, it refers to the whole truth. Let's say you went to IN-N-OUT with your buddies. After that you went to go get a drink. If your parents ask where have you been, and you respond with just one truth, it won’t be Choosing the Right. In this case say the whole truth, because if you don’t you will be CTW.

The Naturopathic Doctor

Duties and Responsibilities:

A Naturopathic Doctor is a healthcare provider who treats patients using a system of medicine that is based on the healing power of nature. They also identify, diagnose, and treat patients from their conditions and illness. Some common duties may be:

• Meeting with parents
• Examining patients
• Performing Tests
• Following up and monitoring parents
• Discussing treatment problems
• Designing treatment Plans

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Demand for this profession:

• Certification of State
• Coursework to prepare for careers
• Studies of anatomy, histology, naturopathic history and philosophy, nutrition, immunology, and oriental medicine.

Reflection: I believe a Naturopathic Doctor is a great job, it seems simple!

Navy Operations Specialists

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations Specialists function as plotters, radiotelephone, and command and control internal communicator talkers. They also combat information on the combat information center (CIC). They even display strategies and tactical information, operate surveillance cameras, and identify FRIEND or FOE (IFF).

Salary: $52,609

Education:

• Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree

Demand for this profession:

• command technical information
• assistance related to Anti-Surface Warfare
• other matters pertaining to the Operations Specialist's area.

Reflection: I wouldn't want to be a US navy at all.

Good Quality People

Who in the US doesn’t know George Washington? George Washington is our 1st president in the United States of America. It is very interesting how he told us a very valuable quote. He mentioned, “Associate yourself with other men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for ‘tis better to be alone than in bad company.” What a marvelous statement this great man told us! Think about this, if you hang out with drug dealers, what can happen to you? You most likely will become a drug dealer. Same with smokers, you may become one. What if you hang out with CTR related people? You will surely be a CTR person.

President's Day

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. It was originally established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington, some people even call president’s day, Washington’s birthday. This year it will be at the 20 of February 2017. We van give honor by visiting Mt. Rushmore where we can see most of our earlier presidents. We can also celebrate their birthdays by giving them honor. I don’t really celebrate President’s day so I can’t honor them at all.
