A Ship Without a Rudder 

Would you by any chance know what a ship without a rudder would be like? A rudder is in back of a ship, it moves along while the captain moves the steering wheel. Without a rudder, how is it possible to control a ship? Same thing is right here when Thomas Carlyle told us a quote that is similar to this situation. He once mentioned, "A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder." If you don't set goals in your life, what can you achieve. The most corresponding answer: nothing! How are you suppose to control your life without goals? Would you just leave life and make drift a direction? Of course not, without a rudder we can't achieve anything. 

Memorial Weekend 

To start of my 3-day weekend....I got sick on Saturday. I didn't do much that day, what I did do though was rest and watch Criminal Minds on Netflix. One of the episodes I saw was about these twins who were about to be kidnapped. It turns out one of the FBI agents was the person who kidnapped them. That is why they knew everything. We also ordered pizza online from Pizza Hut, pretty good. The next day (Sunday) we just pretty much went to church. After that we went to the supermarket for the big day on Monday. Monday was probably the best day of my life. We went to Frank G. Bonelli Park. When we got there we started to have fun by riding bikes and going all around the park. Later on we decided to go bike riding up the mountains to see the farm of horses. It was really fun, I enjoyed petting them and messing around with them. Then when we got back we ate carne asada yum! Then we went to the beach after that we went to canoes. I had a lot of fun in my 3 day weekend.  

Forgiveness 

Many people have had injuries that may have been hard to heal. Sometimes we need to be wise and take care of it, instead of leaving an infection. Just like this injury, we may also have a problem with someone, and we are need to fix it. Alan Paton told us an astonishing quote that can reflect on our well being. He said, "When a deep injury is done to us, we never recover until we forgive." To forgive means to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake. We must always forgive. If we don't we may have a chance of losing someone such as a friend. Over the past three years I've known two friends that drifted apart. One will not forgive causing the friendship they once had, become broken. We must always forgive, and heal the injury. 

DO RIGHT 

"Dare to do right". Rex D. Pinegar taught us an amazing quote. He even gave us a valid and corresponded answer. He also wrote us a letter that really makes us meditate on his life and how foolish he became. He mentioned how in the good old days, they would always dare people to show how strong and brave people are. His friends once told him that he was faster than Rex. Rex obviously disagreed and planned to show how fast he was. So then his friend dared him to run across the road before the car passed by. He then ran, ran as fast as he could, looked at the car, stepped in the road. The car tried to hold back the brakes, yet the bumper hit him. He was idiotic enough that he received massive pain. He chose the wrong by following that dare. I dare you to choose the right! 

Stand Alone 

Thomas S. Monson has once again given us a valuable and amazing quote that can really reflect on one's personal life. He said, "Dare to stand alone." What does this quote actually mean? Why shall we stand alone? Thomas expressed this as an expression. For example, let's say you are at a party, you aren't comfortable for getting cigarettes and smoking, yet many people there start to. Eventually, everyone in that party starts to smoke. Finally many people approach you with a cigarette saying, "Why not? Just one smoke? It feels nice!" Even though you may feel uncomfortable, you still stand alone and say NO! Dare to stand alone! 

Physical Therapist 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

A physical therapist is a doctor that helps patients relieve pain by physical therapy. One of the most efficient/effective physical therapy is yoga. Here are some things they mostly do: 

• help injured or ill people improve their movement and manage their pain 
• Helps patients by rehabilitation, treatment, and prevention of patients with chronic conditions, illnesses, or injuries. 

Salary: $85,400 

Education: 

• Doctoral or Professional degree 

Demand for this profession: 

• Be compassionate, have interpersonal skills, and have physical stamina 
• Join DPT programs for at least 3 years 

Reflection: A physical therapist seems like a nice job, it reflects on me. 

Goals 

Have you ever heard of Dan Dierdorf? Dan Dierdorf is in the football hall of fame. He was such a good player, and most importantly: he chose the right 24/7. He told us a marvelous statement that would really make us meditate. He said, "If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I'm going to succeed." This statement surely has us surprised, right? In our class we have a Journal, we are suppose to right goals 5 minutes each day. This can reflect a lot with our knowledge and efficiency on what we want. Dan Dierdorf gave us an amazing example. 

YouTuber 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

YouTubers are people that create a YouTube channel for a certain reason/topic, such as Gaming, Vlogs, Product Sellers, and much more. Here are some of the duties YouTubers must face: 

• Make videos on a regular basis (such as once a week, five times a week, or every day) 
• Goals: Recieving a silver, gold, then diamond play button.

Salary: Every 1,000 views, you receive $100 

Education: 

• None 

Demand for this profession: 

• Must need camera/recorder 
• Must need a video editor 

Reflection: I believe being a Youtuber is an amazing job. It sounds both exciting and fun.

Have you heard of Phillip Rigg? He is the 2016 first Grammy award winner for his fine music. He is also Mr. Haymore's cousin... ironic right? He gave us four success tips that can improve our life. The first: Work hard, we won't be able to succeed if we don't get it right. Second: Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing. Third: Don't chase after money, it will come when you least expect it. Finally: Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you. These are the best four success tips.
