Class Evaluation

         I loved this class it was really nice. What I loved about this class is that I get to know more about life. I also got to know how to type better and new techniques on the computer. It's funny knowing that I would love to be a computer programmer/designer because it would really help me while I'm still in this class. If I were to fill out a resume, I'd say that I made this electronic Portfolio. So far, this class has help with many things for my future job.

         Some things that I didn't like about this class would be politics. To be honest, I don't like talking about this topic. I honestly don't care who becomes president, who makes America better or whatever. America is already ruined because of factories. What can we do now, we can't anything to fix it at all.

         Some recommendations for this class would be giving us more free time. We get stressed out all day, expect us to do lots of work. Also, have topics that are interesting these days that will help us benefit our life. Do other things instead of "Student Success Statements", Stop with America, make other countries too. Please read these recommendations.

         A Highlight for me in this class was the electronic portfolios. It helps me to become a better person in typing about certain problems. It also helps me in typing better, I find it way easier to type. I get to talk about amazing new topics all day, it is amazing. Many people have seen it and say it is great for my education. It can even help me get a Job which is awesome =).

         I certainly did my best in this class. To prove it I got an A for this class. I try my best to always do my classwork about the things we do here. The Student Success Statements don't only motivate me but others to. It is very important knowing this can benefit my future, Especially in getting my future job.

         To be honest most of the time I do read my Life Planning Goals. The problem with this is that I keep forgetting to do the life planning goals journals everyday. I'm not used to doing such a thing for this. Then, I need to report, I forget all the time. So if I have a little bit of goals, I'm sorry I keep forgetting to do them most of the time.

         I am down on being a CTR person. Of Course, who wouldn't want to be  a person that Chooses the right 24/7? if I were to continue doing this I can actually achieve all my goals that I wrote on my life planning goals journal. CTR will help me to continue having good grades, not doing bad actions, and have a great college to help me find a job =).

Cheating

Once in a Medical School, some medical students decided to cheat on a test. The narrator told us the story. His husband told him the story to clarify it. He said that once some students decided to cheat on a test by cheat cards. The teacher had no idea. Until one special student stood up and told the teacher the issue. The teacher was furious and mentioned that if he saw that someone cheated he will be able to expel them. The students were really scared that they decided not to cheat. It turns out that thanks for that they were the most graduated students at this medical school.

Lies

Are lies okay? It is considered a CTW person type of thing, but why? Everyone lies, what are the consequences, what are the problems? Well, Paul Hatch told us a very nice quote which to be honest is true. He said, “When you Tell One Lie, it leads to Another”. Think about it this way, if you accidently broke, let's say, a vase, and you say you didn’t do it, and they believe you. Then they ask did you see who did it? Did you see a witness? They will keep asking for questions until you give them the truth. What do you do now? If they figure out you were lying all this time they will get angrier than they would if you told the truth in the first place. In this case never tell lies.

Patrick Kearon

         Patrick Kearon chose the wrong. He explained that he went on a vacation to the desert. When he was there, his parents warned him that snakes, scorpions, or twigs can stab him, so he must use shoes. One day he decided to use flip-flops to go walk instead of shoes. Then he got stabbed by a scorpion. The pain was horrible! Her felt it go up his leg. Then they had to take him to the hospital. That day he died. JUST KIDDING! He was at the risk of dieing but the doctor gave him antibiotics. He survived. Since he chose the wrong, he hurt himself, and stressed his family. Also, if would of choose the right, he would have never had this problem.

Right

“Always do right”. This quote is a very important quote that will support for each and every one of us. Mark Twain mentioned this because he always wanted us to choose the right. What would happen if we never chose the right? Maybe we might become people that are disobedient to laws, or worst disobedient to others. We shall never choose the wrong because it will lead to consequences, bad consequences. If we start to drink, smoke, or do things that can contaminate yourself, you won’t just hurt others but yourself. If you start to be rude, impatient, or disrespectful you will not be able to make friends. If you’re loyal, respectful, honest, hard working, and more, you will make many friends and won’t damage anyone. Follow Mark Twain’s quote, “Always choose the right”.

Bad Company

“It's better to be alone than being with bad company”. Who told this quote? Well actually this quote is unknown, but it is very productive. Sometimes some of your friends can be bad companies, so we should choose wisely. When you want to look at who they really are observe them. Do they need alcohol to have fun? Are they lazy couch potatoes that doesn't do anything? How do they treat their family? You should be asking these questions about a certain friend. You wouldn’t want someone to make you feel bad and if a really bad influence. You’ll want a person that is generous and loves by heart. Its best to be alone than being with bad company.

World War II

December 7, 1939-45 was when World War II (WWII) came. Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean, but others were seen in places as far away as Madagascar and the Aleutian Islands. Countries such as Poland, China, Russia, and Germany saw their territories directly involved in war and suffered terribly; countries such as the United States and Canada were relatively far from the action. Most events that happened was these:

Challenges Teens Face Today

As you can see in this title, teens face many challenges these days. Some of the major or most likely challenges they have is being a CTR person. Some people try to stop that goal by offering inappropriate things to them. Some may be alcohol, smoking, drugs, lying, rebellious, pressure, bullying, self-esteem, and much more. The two main challenges I’m facing right now would be stress and anxiety. When I’m mostly stressed out, or have anxiety, I try to take a break or relax once in awhile. By being a CTR person I can learn from my mistakes and try to overcome them. I can help others with my challenges by motivating them and increase their self-esteem.

Reflection: The greatest need a teen has would be phones, they can do many things with them, but they can be dangerous.

Physical Fitness

Why is it important to have a physical body? Well, most people do it to get in shape and not be embarrassed to be fat, but why is it good for you? Well, President John F. Kennedy told a specific quote that will specifically tell us why it is important to have a physical fitness body. He said, “Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong”. This quote tells it all. If we are going to have a physical fitness, we will become smarter than usual. The things that can stop you from having a healthy body and become smart can be drugs, tobacco, smoking, and more. Can you imagine a drunk, drugged person taking a speech?, THAT ISN'T A PHYSICAL CONDITION, MORE LIKE A MENTAL ONE. If you choose to exercise each day and live a healthy life you will be able to be in good conditions.

Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities:

Health Sciences Librarian is a librarian that looks for the information about a certain topic. They research and look through books to analyze what the patient has. These are most of the duties and responsibilities they have:

• Defines expert searching and provides the background on the issue;
• Articulates the role of health sciences librarians in the provision of expert searching
• And identifies a number of high-impact areas in which consultation and expert searching are critical to the success of the institution.

Salary: $66k per year

Education:

• Ear an A.S.
• Master’s and bachelor’s degree

Demand for this profession:

• Degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or Computer Sciences

Reflection: I think it would be nice to have thjis job. All you will need to do is research, which is super easy.

Kindness

           "Kindness is the essence of greatness". This quote is a very important quote of how we all need Kindness. Joseph B. Wirthlin wanted us to know that kindness will give us honor and greatness. If there were an old lady walking with her groceries alone, the nicest thing to do is to carry it for her. Opening the door for others will help your kindness level. Giving gifts without having anything in return will help. All of these examples are acts of kindness, and will help you be greater.

Thanksgiving Week

         I had so much fun at thanksgiving week. To start off, on Monday, I was happy enough to hang out with my favorite cousin. Every monday is cousin night in which my cousin, Ruth, hangs out with Sara and I. We watched many movies that day. It's fun when she comes because we would do challenges, like the Bean Boozled Challenge, play games, or watch movies. At Tuesday, I also hanged out with Ruth, Laiza ( a friend), and Sara, after doing activities at pacific. Then we went to McDonalds and ate breakfast. We went to Ruth’s house and played games. Wednesday we went to help my mom work at her job. She cleans houses, and I like helping her =). Thursday was the day we woke up at 5 am to go to Mexicali at Mexico to visit our family. We stopped by Jack to get Breakfast. We got there around 11 pm. We ate sopes and hanged with the family. At Friday, we went to La Cachanilla, which is the mall at Mexicali. After that we went to a place called Frutal, which is our tradition in which when ever we go to Mexicali, we get ice cream there. Saturday we went to see our cousins play Soccer at their tournament. Finally, Sunday we went back home, and I was able to see my two dogs again, Charlie and Blackie. We relaxed the whole day. I loved my thanksgiving weekend.

Manners maketh man

         Have you ever heard of this quote? Well it was made from William Wykeham. He said, “Manners maketh man”. This quote is very important, it shows us who we truly are and what we truly do. If people notice that we aren’t nice, despicable, and harmful, they would consider us animals. Animals act in such a way that we can relate to them. But we don’t want anyone to be judging us and calling us animals, right? We want to have manners and be called a good name. If someone is polite, says please and thank you, they will identify us as humans/people. In this case whatever we do will be judged. And surely we want to be named people, not animals.

Don't do it, don't say it!

Have you heard the saying, “If it is not right do not do it”? Yep this quote was made by Marcus Aurelius. Do you guys know what does this mean? This means that you shall CTR 24/7. If you know that isn’t right, THEN DON’T DO IT!!! He also said another marvelous statement, “if it is not true, do not say it”. Do you know what are rumors? Yeah, they are things that people tell other people throughout the whole world! And to end it off, some of them are fake and untrue. In this case, if it isn't right, DON'T DO IT!!!; If it is not true, DON'T SAY IT!!!

Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is a tradition that has been in Canada and America. It is celebrated in the second thursday of October for Canada and the fourth thursday in November for America. It is used to give thanks for what we have in this world. It is also celebrated with family members and friends. You even get a huge feast of food, and then go running on thursday night and wait for BLACK FRIDAY!

Reflection: To be honest I don’t celebrate thanksgiving, but most of the things I am thankful for is:

• Having a family

• Being able to afford things
• Having a cellphone
• Having friends
• Having an education
• Having pets
• Having God
• Having my religion
• My parents
• Having a positive attitude
• Always trying my best

Doing what is right, is fair and honorable

           

         What kind of person are you? Are you a CTR person, an average-normal person, or are you a cheater-CTW person? These aren’t the only people that exist in the world, because everyone is different. But, what is you choose the right, what do you get in return? According to Chick Moorman, “Doing what is right , fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing”. I definitely agree with this statement. Did you know some athletes in football games cheat by using, steroids, and other techniques? Compared to the athletes that actually try their best to achieve their goal. If you were to name each of these groups by, CTR or CTW, where would you place them? Obviously the chesters=CTW and the people who try=CTR.

         Veterans day is coming at Friday, November 11, 2016. Veterans Day is a day to honor the people who go/went to the military. It will always be at November 11, 2016. The purpose of veterans day is to keep helping our nation to be strong by the military. It is important to show honor to veterans day because many people who fought for us is here to represent us. One way to show honor to them is meeting the and telling them thanks. Another way can be doing the flag salute to them. There are many ways you can honor them.

Reflection: I think it is nice knowing about veterans day, but I don’t celebrate it. I don’t want to be rude or anything just that the bible teaches us many things about this. The bible clearly shows that we shouldn’t assassinate or kill. No offense, but the soldiers that has fought in that war kill people, and I know it is for the country, but they are people. Knowing that Jehovah doesn’t like seeing people dying we should think like he does too. He doesn’t want any war at all, he wants us to be happy. So I don’t celebrate this holiday. I will show respect to it but not adore it.

The 3 Magical Keys

Have you heard of the three magical keys? If you have, good for you, if you haven’t this is the reason why I’m typing this. W. Clement Stone mentioned them. The three keys are:

1. Have courage to say no.
2. Have courage to face the truth.
3. Do the right thing because it is right.

What a marvelous statement he gave us to keep choosing the right by doing this. If someone offers you drugs or alcohol ay NO! If you did something that was wrong, face the truth it will work out! ALWAYS, ALWAYS CTR 24/7!!!!!

Be Wise

Have you ever read the Bible, because the bible has good sayings. In Proverbs 13:20 it wanted one us to know how to be a wise man. It says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise. But a companion who fools shall be destroyed”. In this Proverb it showed that we shall be with wise people. If we need advice and help, we should follow what it says, to always find a wise person. Always be a CTR person so you may continue being wise. If you do, people would look up to you, and they won’t underestimate you. If you're going to be foolish, you will be destroyed according to the bible. It is true because some families, or people are torn apart by being foolish. We shall always be wise.
