Enthusiasm!

What is enthusiasm? Enthusiasm is when you are happy, fun, and excited for whatever is going to happen next. Luckily, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale taught us why enthusiasm is important. He mentioned, “Enthusiasm makes the difference”. Think about Winnie the Pooh in this aspect. Tigger is very enthusiastic and fun to play with, he is energetic, funny, and always has a smile in his face. What about Eeyore? Eeyore is very sad most of the time, he isn’t interested in anything else, he’s pretty emo if you ask me. Would you prefer to be a tigger or an eeyore? I would most definitely become a tiger, it is very amazing to always be enthusiastic.

Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

A medical illustrator is a person that illustrates what is going on in their body, and how to prevent it. Here are some of the things they do:

• Take images or pictures of patient's problems, and film it
• Specialize 3D images from the inside, such as a baby
• Photographs hospital, and it’s uses
• Use computers to download and edit photographs
• Produce artwork
• Present it among other doctors as well

• Take classes in art, and surgical overview

Reflection: I believe being a Medical Illustrator isn’t that bad, I love drawing, so I would get a job like this.

Trying to do what was right

Dean Smith is an important man in our generational history. He was a basketball coach in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He won 879 basketball games, what a record! Anyway, here is the quote Dean smith taught us, “I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right”. What a marvelous statement! One of the games that were played was amazing, they won! Before celebrating with his team members, he wanted to felicitate his opponents coach. What a CTR person! He could have been famous, rich, and a showoff, but he chose to choose the right. We shall always take him as an example on how to choose what is right. =)

Karma will take care of itself

To be honest, I don’t believe in Karma, but many people do. Especially Dr. Randy Pausch, he mentioned something important that ca help our dreams come true. He mentioned, “It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life. It you lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma (good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you”. What a magnificent yet inspiring quote from this Doctor. If we lead our life the right way, good karma will come to us, and stay with us. Imagine someone who takes drugs, smokes cigarettes, and is a bad influence, they surely don’t have a good life. If you would love to live a good life you must always be a CTR person.

Make Your Passion Your Profession!

My passion is art, it has always been there for me. When I feel like doing art, art comes to me. In the future I think a graphic designer can help my art grow. A Graphic Designer is a person that draws in computers and helps grow art. To do this, I would need a Bachelor’s degree to help me very much. In this job, i could do video game characters, cartoon characters, and more! Some skills would take to be an artist could be Art, of course, and computer technicians. You must always have a positive attitude when you draw, in this case, always have a positive attitude.

Reflection: I’m willing to work as hard as I can to get a Bachelor’s degree in art/computers.

Body, Mind, and Character

What is the Body, Mind, and Character used for? Well think about it. Without a Body we are nothing, without a mind we would be dead, without character we would be useless. Thanks to Theodore Roosevelt, he showed as a quote that showed us what is the most accurate result of doing such a thing. He said, “Of all the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the BODY, the MIND, and above all the CHARACTER, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.” What a LONG yet powerful quote! Anyway, we shall build our body, by taking care of it, exercising, and giving it the right nutrients. The Mind, we must train it and help it become much powerful and intelligent to achieve our goals in life. Our Character shall always stay in a CTR position 24/7! This is how u can train your body, mind, and character!

Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical Assistants, are Assistants that help for directing appointments to other people at doctor’s office. Here are some things they do:

• Medical assistants work in well-lighted, clean environments.
• They constantly interact with other people and may have to handle several responsibilities at once.
• Answering telephones
• Update and fill patient’s papers
• Fill out insurance and medical records
• Prepare examinations
• Diagnose
• Help transport blood to laboratories
• Much more...

Education:

• Associate’s of Applied Science or Health Science degree

Demand for this profession:

• None? (idk)

Reflection: I believe being a medical assistant would be a great job, you just inpute, update and do patient’s paperwork.

Body-Mind-Spirit

Body, Mind, and Spirit. These are the aspects that help us realize what we are. The quote mentions, “Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being”-Mr. C.S. Haymore. Our teacher Mr. Haymore mentioned he was a pretty cool guy, I’ve heard that he is a really great CTR person. Anyway, It is important to realize what happens if we don’t take care of these aspects of our lives. If we want to take care of them follow these important steps. To educate your body, you must be physical and filled with movement. For Mind, we must know what is the CTR pathway, and the CTW pathway. For Spirit, we shall always be kind to others, and motivate or support people when they need help. It is very important to know what to do with your body, mind, and spirit.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and Responsibilities:

LPN’s are nurses./ There isn’t much to talk about because everyone knows what a nurse does. But these are most of the things they would do:

• Work in healthcare facilities, hospitals, and doctor’s office
• Provide routine care
• Observe patient’s health
• Assist doctors and/or nurses
• Communicate with patient’s and or parents

• Need to pass the National Council Licensure Exam

Reflection: A nurse, doesn’t seem like a bad idea, it helps us learn what sick symptoms someone may have in case of an emergency.

Intelligence + Character

We all know Martin Luther King...I hope. On monday 01/16/17 will be a day off because of him. He mentioned a very important quote that will give us the opportunity to achieve ourselves. He mentioned, “Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education”. Martin Luther King mentioned that in order for us to learn the meaning of true education, we need intelligence and character. For example, when you do meat you don’t just put pepper, you put salt to season it to its true flavor. Such as meat, when we want to do is learn true education. We could be really smart but selfish, or real stupid but nice. What we want to achieve is true education, by being very intelligent, and a CTR character.

Kinesiologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Kinesiology is a natural health care process that entails the thorough study of mechanics and anatomy of the human body. Kinesiologists specialize in the analysis of human body movement. Here are some of the usual things they would do:

• Helps people cope with individual injuries
• Work and manage movement disorders
• Demonstrate proper movements throughout the body
• Help with treatments to give their disorder back in its place

Salary: $56,980

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology

Demand or Need for this profession:

• Needs a license to practice in professional massage therapy
• Must know a throughout basic knowledge on how the body’s movements work
• Need great communication skills throughout patients to explain how the body works

Reflection: I think being a Kinesiologist is a great job. It seems simple to give messages and help others with non functional disorders.

Courage

Richard L. Evans was a great man. He showed us a marvelous statement that will not only help you, but all of us. He mentioned, “We need the courage to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and  the courage to STOP what we shouldn’t do.”. We can learn many things from this statement, but what I’ve learned is to have Courage. If we don’t have courage we won’t be able to be a CTR person, but a CTW. If you didn’t have courage you wouldn’t be able to complete assignments they assign to students. If someone is in trouble you could either walk away or help. If you decide to help you will be named a CTR person. If you aren’t capable of doing such a thing, you might as well be named a CTW. Always have Courage.

School Break Days

           Winter Break was really nice and fun. Although we stayed at our city we did many things. To start of we went to Culver City's Westfield mall around December 23rd or so. My dad didn't go to work that day they so we went and had a great time. Then every Mondays, We had the chance to play with my cousins, since they visit us usual we always do fun activities such as the Pie-Face challenge. Luckily I didn't get pie-faced. Then we went with the family to Shakey's, one of my favorite pizza parlor places =). I'm starting to think we did too many things around winter. We also went to watch a movie, SING. It was pretty funny, but I would prefer watching other cartoons. We also went to eat at a new place I've never been to, King's Buffet. Anyway, I had a great time =).
